Pumpkin Patch

The kids were off on Monday, so we drove to a nearby pumpkin patch. While the kids were running around finding the smallest and largest pumpkins, I wandered around snapping pictures of things that caught my eye. My favorite thing there wasn't the corn maze, the scarecrows or the enormous hay bale spider (although they were all pretty darn awesome) - it was this scale. I can't think of anything that I would need to weigh that would require this monster, but I think it's beautiful in its own old, rustic (yet functional!) way.

And yes, I'll give away something today. Right now, though, we're waiting for the sun!
